To Fight Cancer, You Need a Team - One That is Tougher Together
But even the tough need champions, and that’s where Game On Cancer and our Quarantine Companions come into play.
Meet WeeLee - a 2 1/2 year old West Highland Terrier. WeeLee's owner volunteers for Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network (www.cairnrescue.com) - a national organization that rescues, fosters and places small terriers with forever families, serving as a matchmaker and foster mom! She received her foster Wheels (aka "WeeLee") in March, rescued from a puppy mill where she lived in a cage and wasn't socialized or house trained. After two weeks, mom decided to adopt her. She has become a delightful companion - best decision ever!)
My husband, Mark, is a cancer survivor who was treated by Henry Ford Health System. He had a large tumor adhered to his heart, lung, and ribs. He is now cancer-free for six years.
Cancer is a thief. It’s a disease that can steal not just health, but financial well-being, too. Imagine if cancer depleted your funds so you could no longer afford transportation to your chemotherapy appointments or buy healthy food.
I am raising money for Game On Cancer to ensure patients can get to their appointments, keep the lights on in their home and have access to life-saving medications. 100% of every dollar raised supports this mission and 100% is used locally.
Please join me and our Game On Cancer champions with a donation today? Your support will allow us to continue expanding services, research and financial assistance to thousands of people in our community every year. We are tougher together.
