Welcome to SupermexDad's Game On Cancer fundraising page!
Welcome to Team B.A.C.K. (Bad A$$ Cancer Krushers) - Game on Cancer page (2019).
We have created this team to help Game on Cancer research, fight and find cures for people who have various cancers.
To All Our Friends and Family,
As you know, I was diagnosed with Stage 4, Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma in 2015. Since then, I have been treated successfully (in remission since Jan 2016). I am still working to recover from the damage the tumor caused but I am still positive about my future. Unfortunately, since my diagnosis, we have lost a few people - my brother Mark, a co-worker Tim, and a friend JD!! Others have been fighting cancer for a while or were recently diagnosed and treated - friend Paul, niece Monica, father-in-law Paul, and too many others to mention.
Our individual team members have combined forces to create this awesome fundraising team for Game On Cancer! Together we will raise more money for the Henry Ford Cancer Institute than we ever could alone!
Come help our team support Game On Cancer by joining our team or by making a donation. Game On Cancer is a joint partnership between Henry Ford Health System, The Detroit Lions and The Detroit Pistons.
100% of funds raised through Game On Cancer are used to assist cancer patients and their families with research, clinical programs and other personal financial needs, such as but not limited to, basic medical supplies, tranportation, grocery assistance, utility assistance, car payment or prescription coverage, home infusiontherapy, home/auto repairs, caregiver assistance, rent/mortgage assistance, insurance gap coverage, wheelchair ramp installation, temporary housing and family travel. Our mission is to remove any barrier or burden, financial or otherwise, that limits or prohibits cancer patients from receiving care and treatment.
By assisting vulnerable patients and their families and care-givers with the “hidden” costs of cancer, we are ensuring access to treatment for all – serving one patient at a time…treating beyond the cure.
