Thank you. We did it!

You Rose Up Warriors!! There is a battle to be won and you joined our team to help me, Connor and Lizzie support #RolandStrong Kidney Cancer Research Fund. We surpassed our goal of $30,000 and we truly appreciate all of the support. It is benefiting a great cause.
As you know, my husband Roland Trombley was diagnosed with kidney cancer while undergoing a pre-op cat scan for kidney stone removal just a few weeks ago. Cancer. It is quite a word. We are most thankful for the kidney stone that allowed for early detection of this cancer. We are grateful for Dr. Kandis Rivers, the surgeon on the stone removal who led us by the hand to the incredible Dr. Craig Rogers, Director of Renal Surgery and Urologic Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital.
This man and his amazing team overcame all obstacles with swiftness and determination. It was this man who allowed us to breathe as he fully embraced us and all of our fears and carried us through this journey with confidence, kindness and certainty.
While Roland continues along a path to a successful and full recovery we are humbled by this experience and were motivated to action. Our goal was to raise research funds that will help prevent cancer, save lives and improve quality of life by funding research, education, advocacy and service. #RolandStrong Kidney Cancer Research Fund is a joint partnership between The Trombley Family, Dr. Craig C. Rogers and Henry Ford Health System.
We were blessed yet again by Henry Ford Hospital agreeing to match the dollars we raise up to $30,000 and agreeing to put the final amount toward a "Strong" Fellowship for Dr. Rogers. That means your $30,000 turned into $60,000...Let's hear if for Henry Ford Hospital!
We are so excited to have met our goal. At the outset of developing this fund in partnership with Dr. Rogers and HFH we were driven to give back....and give back in a very profound way. Driving a fund that will have such a monumental impact not only on Dr. Rogers' department, but most importantly on patient care and education in the future would be beyond our dreams. Thank you for making Dr. Rogers wishes come true!
Thanks so much for your generosity and for Rising Up! and joining me, Connor, Lizzie and Dr. Rogers BATTLE cancer!
More information about the "Strong" Fellowship:
The Strong Fellowship would enable Dr. Rogers to perpetuate his skills surrounding advanced robotic procedures for complex kidney tumors, much like Roland had. This Strong Fellowship would have boundless value at the patient care level, the research level and innovation of minimally invasive techniques. It would educate future leaders in surgery!
