To Fight Cancer, You Need a Team - One That is Tougher Together
But even the tough need champions, and that’s where Game On Cancer comes into play.
I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in January, and a prostatectomy was scheduled for March, then the COVID pandemic hit and the surgery was canceled and then finally took place in June.
As you can imagine I was feeling pretty low throughout that time period. Jasper, seemed to know or sense this and would come onto the couch next to me, lay on his side, reach out and rub my arm or hand. At first I thought he was just wanting attention, but he would look up at me and just keep rubbing my arm until he felt I was feeling better, then would curl up at the edge of the couch wanting no other interaction until he sensed I was in need of a top up of unconditional love.
He certainly helped me through not only the pandemic but my initial cancer diagnosis, surgery and recovery. He is certainly, in my mind at least, one of a kind.
Jasper is 10.
Please Vote for Jasper! Every dollar equals a vote and helps local cancer patients.
Cancer is a thief. It’s a disease that can steal not just health, but financial well-being, too. Imagine if cancer depleted your funds so you could no longer afford transportation to your chemotherapy appointments or buy healthy food.
I am raising money for Game On Cancer to ensure patients can get to their appointments, keep the lights on in their home and have access to life-saving medications. 100% of every dollar raised supports this mission and 100% is used locally.
Please join me and our Game On Cancer champions with a donation today? Your support will allow us to continue expanding services, research and financial assistance to thousands of people in our community every year. We are tougher together.
