Game On Cancer 2017

Katie's Courage Club

My daughter Katie died of triple negative breast cancer August 20, 2016 at the age of 33 after a 3 year battle.  Katie left behind a legacy starting with a blog (katiecrushescancer.com) and ending with a book "The Courage Club - A Radical Guide to Audaciously Living Beyond Cancer".  Katie felt incredibly blessed to have the resources to seek the very best in care options available, even traveling to Germany for cutting edge treatment.  But it broke her heart to know that most people in the world are not so lucky.  She hoped to leave a legacy to encourage people to live life to the fullest, even in the face of death through her blog www.katiecrushescancer.com and her book.  I hope to expand that legacy by helping others through ongoing research and access to care.  Join me in the fight, won't you?  Game on!

Game On Cancer is a joint partnership between Henry Ford Health System, The Detroit Lions and The Detroit Pistons.  100% of funds raised through Game On Cancer are used to assist cancer patients and their families.  Our mission is to remove any barrier or burden, financial or otherwise, that limits or prohibits cancer patients from receiving care and treatment.

By assisting vulnerable patients, their families and their care-givers with the “hidden” costs of cancer, we are ensuring access to treatment for all – serving one patient at a time. Game On Cancer also provides funding for critical research and supportive oncology programs.

You can also help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter! Or, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page!

Thanks so much for your generosity and for joining me in to fight cancer!
