Superwoman Fund
Remembering Maryam This Holiday Season
As we close out 2020 – a year of disruption and uncertainty – I am finding peace and purpose by celebrating our beloved Maryam’s life and honoring her giving spirit.
The Superwoman fund was conceived by Maryam as she was courageously fighting cancer. She realized how blessed she was to have a loving and caring family along with a tremendous network of support from friends. She also knew that she was fortunate to not worry about the financial burden of cancer and never be forced to choose between seeking treatment for her cancer and buying groceries for her family.
Each year since we started, the fund has supported local women with basic needs like clothing and school supplies for the children, rent assistance, groceries, transportation, utilities and other necessities. This assistance provides relief from financial stress so that they can focus on their treatment.
Your year-end gift will allow us to continue our important mission, in honor of Maryam. On December 31, The Whelan Family will make a matching donation for every dollar contributed by the end of the year. Please note that 100% of all donations will directly support local women battling cancer who are experiencing financial hardship.
Maryam was a Superwoman in my life, and I continue to draw joy and inspiration every day from her memory and example. I hope you will join me in upholding her legacy through the Superwoman Fund now and for years to come.
Wishing you and your family a holiday season filled with peace and joy.
Gratefully yours,
Brian Whelan and Family
